Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Requires at least a bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. Will perform duties outlined in AR25-2 3-3a for the System Administrator role. Must comply with training requirements IAW DoD 8570.1 for the IAT Level II position, and may be required to have background with various server operating systems and database applications.

Must have US Citizenship and a current Secret Clearance or having held one during the last two years.
