Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with customer teams to fully analyze customer requirements.

Produces applicable design and architecture documentation for review.

Translated requirements into a design develop a solution, guide the development phase.

Verifies and validates that the delivered system fully satisfies the requirements.

Design interfaces properly to meet security and accessibility objectives.

Guides the project and mentors the contractor’s team on best practices and architectural patterns.

Designs software architecture for new requirements using best-of-breed technologies.

Monitors and tracks technical activities to completion.

Oversees rigorous peer reviews to ensure compliance with ColdFusion, ASP.Net, and ServiceNow coding standards.

Interfaces with software engineers, test engineers and other project team members using the Agile Scrum methodology.

Supports the software configuration management process and understands software components and their interface requirements.

Prepares and delivers technical customer presentations and demonstrations articulately and confidently.

Coordinates closely with management and engineering to align solution design with customers’ requirements and standard offerings.

Coordinates all information and project requirements to engineering and program management personnel for accurate implementation.

Responds to tender documents, writes proposals, reports, white papers and other documents.

Understands customer needs and leads the development of solutions that are appropriate for execution. This involves performing analysis and planning to implement a solution that will meet or exceed customer requirements while satisfying budgetary expectations; to include researching internal capabilities as well as software and hardware products or services, identifying the best solutions.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements/Certifications:

US Citizenship and a current Secret Clearance or having held one during the last two years. (History of higher clearance a plus)

A Bachelor’s Degree and at least ten (10) years of experience leading a team (at least 2 individuals) of developers that provided virtual support and/or development of web-based applications.

A minimum of 10 years of successfully performing in a role of major responsibility tied to large projects with tight deadlines.

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Solution Architect.

A minimum of 3 years of experience with designing either application systems running in a virtualized environment.

8+ years of experience with .NET development and ColdFusion development.

5+ years of experience with ServiceNow workflows to assist with DoDEA modernization efforts.

5+ years of experience with Web development, including experience with XML, Web Services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

General knowledge of system software development lifecycles, including requirements generation, design, code, verification and test, systems integration, maintenance, and support as it relates to an AGILE process/workflow.
