Description

Program Manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of programs assigned. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Minimum Qualification/ Requirements:

At least 10 years of Program Management experience

Ability to provide effective guidance to customers.

Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines.

Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques.

Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures.

US Citizenship and a current Secret Clearance or having held one during the last two years. (History of higher clearance a plus)

 

Preferred Qualification/Requirements:

Experience with Simulation to Mission Command Interoperability (SIMCI)

Operation, test, simulation, and stimulation of Army Mission Command Information Systems and their associated networks

Variety of the common test and instrumentation systems used in the Army modeling and simulation and Test & Evaluation communities

Work closely with US Army staff and leaders

Ability to plan and execute complex multi-faceted projects.

Ability to recognize and analyze problems, to conduct research, summarize results, and to make appropriate recommendations.

Knowledge of manpower, personnel, and budget regulations and guidance as relates to assigned tasks.
