Roles and Responsibilities:

System/Test Engineer supporting BFT-AVN AN/UYK-128(V) Computer and Electronic Data Manager (EDM), along with associated communication and Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment GPS Message Router (GMR) and Global Positioning System – Unit Equipment including. Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) and the Ground-Based GPS Receiver Application Module (GB-GRAM).

• Responsible for numerous GPS products including DAGR, GB-GRAM, BFT-A GMR and EDM systems. Ability to develop and run various test procedures and develop test reports.

• Analyze approved / validated requirements.

• Develops and performs developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components.

• Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.

• Must be responsive to schedule and task deadlines and adaptive to varying guidance

• Must be willing and capable of working with teams of Government and Contractors across multiple companies

• Must be able to multitask; the successful candidate will be effective on simultaneous projects at various stages of completion

• Generate test cases based on requirements.

• Ensure test traceability to requirements.

• Prepare Test Plans, Scenarios, Test Cases, and Data sets for module, integration and system testing.

• Prepare Test Environments to execute the test cases.

• Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents.

• Analyze the Test Cases prepared by other team members.

• Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups.

• Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.

• Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.

• Executes tests, report bugs, and capture test status.

• Tracks defects to closure.

• Documents and reports the status of defects to the stakeholders.

• Create and update test logs.

• Reports test results to the stakeholders.

• Provides inputs to the team in order to improve the test process.

• Prepares Test Summary Reports

• Conducts Test Readiness Review Meetings within the Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering or any other Scientific or Technical discipline and two years of relevant work experience.

• Must be able to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components. Must be able to investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.

• US Citizenship and a current Secret Clearance or having held one during the last two years. (History of higher clearance a plus)

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.

• Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of BFT-AVN and GPS products such as BFT-AVN GMR, EDM MT-2011; GPS knowledge of DAGR and GB-GRAM along with Compliance Test Software (CTS)-153

• Experience with US Army Avionics software maintenance and in the design, development, upgrade, field support, and maintenance of a wide variety of US Army Avionics equipment and systems.
